BUILT FOR UNSTOPPABLE PLAYMAKING

The Magista is designed for the player who is always moving, creating the attack and dictating play. In a game that is faster than ever — both mentally and physically — space is at a premium and high-speed control is essential. While the Magista player is constantly creating opportunities on the pitch, he needs to focus on seeing ahead, seeing the pass that no one else can see. The Magista liberates the player to unlock his fullest potential and focus on that split second that could change the game.

2014 Volkswagen National Dealer’s Meeting

Project Description

Utilizing a 66 foot wide center projection screen, and two large, but not as large, outboard screens as our canvas, we recently wrapped production on the annual VW Sales Meeting. Our role included building all executive level presentations using a number of presentation tools, some of which are proprietary to VW.

Taking the presentations from initial concept, to full HD completion was a bi-coastal endeavor taking several weeks, fast internet connections, and a pretty tight knit team to complete.

We were tasked with building a widescreen show that not only worked flawlessly, but also to design a number of  speaker support templates. All of which could be utilized by a group of freelancers scattered around the U.S., and a top secret client design team working in Powerpoint, back at VW Headquarters. The resulting files also had to cleanly port over to Apple Keynote for those presentations that needed a bit more pizazz, than was available within Powerpoint.

So, just to be clear, we won’t be sharing any photos of the top secret concepts our friends at Volkswagen are, or were working on…sorry, but we will share this…

Volkswagen is at the top of their game, and not to be under estimated, they have a great brand, and they’re moving forward on some really incredible vehicles.

Once on show site near Volkswagen’s US Headquarters, we managed the expected,  changes and updates to the presentations. We also edited video content for global distribution to VW Teams unable to attend the live presentation.

Apparently based on the feedback and responses, and with the backing of an awesome production team, and technical crew, we did a great job.

A special shout out to Santa Monica based Campos Creative Works who produced and staged the event.

They know what they’re doing, and they treat a crew well.

Our role in this project was to build speaker support content, consult on, and facilitate the technical aspects of the production, design graphics for onscreen presentation, handle onsite video editing requests, and document the event.

An unprecedented multi-sector collaboration to bring physical activity back into the lives of American kids.

In February 2013, Nike joined together with First Lady Michelle Obama and the Let’s Move campaign to pledge $50 million to combat the epidemic of inactivity among America’s youth.

 

Working as part of the Now & Zen Productions Team, we traveled to a very cold downtown Chicago to produce a breathtaking theatrical event, an unprecedented multi-sector collaboration to bring physical activity back into the lives of American kids.

Nike athletes Serena Williams, Bo Jackson, Allyson Felix, Gabby Douglas, Paul Rodriguez, Ashton Eaton, Colin Kaepernick and Sarah Reinertsen jumped, kicked, spun and danced with nearly 6,000 local Chicago school kids to help deliver the announcement and celebrate this momentous partnership.

 

The audience was also treated to a performance by recording artist Jordin Sparks.

Nike Fuelband & Fuel Technology Launch

The project was the global launch of Nike Fuel technology, and the first Nike Fuelband product.

In case you haven’t already heard… the FuelBand is Nike’s foray into the world of personal activity trackers. The company recently debuted its latest entrant into the personal fitness field, the Nike+ FuelBand. It’s a sleek wristband that uses a tri-axis accelerometer to keep track of the steps you’re taking, the calories you’re burning, and most importantly, how much NikeFuel you’re accumulating, a new metric that can measure all of your daily physical activities
We temporarily planted a team in Beaverton, Oregon for pre-production work with Nike’s famed creative design team.  Working with Nike’s Executive Team, and LA based Now & Zen Productions, we went on to produce a world-class (their term) presentation package, offer technical production, and on-location video production for the high profile media event.
The project was the global launch of Nike Fuel technology, and the Nike Fuelband product. The live event, held in the heart of New York, was hosted by Nike superfan, Saturday Night Live alum, and new Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon.  Utilizing the latest available MacPro systems, we asked a handful of very talented artists, to push a beta version of Apple’s Keynote & Final Cut Pro X software to their limits. The systems and software thankfully held up to our crazy deadlines, massive files, and endless creative… “what if we try this” scenarios, to beautifully fill the stunning, custom designed, presentation space. 
Following the design of the Fuelband product itself, the 95 foot wide, curved LED panel system screen, served not only as an immersive “surround” presentation surface, filling the audience’s entire view, but also as the backdrop to our set.  The presentation included celebrity Nike athletes and artists, including Kevin Durant, Lance Armstrong, QuestLove, any many more.
We were honored to provide technical direction, custom graphics, video, and animation support for this presentation. It was streamed live via webcast, and has counted over two million viewers globally.
